The province of eternal spring! Perhaps the part of China that offers the most pleasant climate for us Westerners. Here you’ll find everything from jungles in the south to Shangri-La in the north. The province is also home to 52 ethnic minorities. In Yunnan’s capital, Kunming, you can actually visit all of them in small villages built to showcase their typical plants and architecture. In the same city, you can also stroll through a botanical garden featuring plants from all over the world, with a special focus on China’s provinces but also representing flora from the rest of the globe.
